Most mobile networks feel exactly the same. Rising prices, confusing contracts, and customer service that puts you on hold for 45 minutes before you give up and Google the answer yourself. Switching feels like rearranging deck chairs.

Rewild Mobile launched in January 2026 with a different pitch: what if your phone bill actually did something good for the world? Not in a vague, corporate-speak way — but concretely, with 25% of profits going directly to UK rewilding and nature recovery projects.

We came across Rewild through our research into ethical alternatives to the big networks. We haven’t used the SIM personally, so this is an honest research-based explainer rather than a hands-on review — we’ll be upfront about that throughout. Here’s what we found.

What Is Rewild Mobile?

Rewild Mobile is a UK virtual network operator (MVNO) — meaning they don’t own their own masts, but run on top of existing infrastructure. In their case, they use both Vodafone and Three, which gives them combined coverage across 99% of the UK population. That’s a genuinely strong coverage setup — better than some bigger-name providers who run on a single network.

The company incorporated in November 2025 and launched to the public in January 2026, which makes them a very young startup. They’ve already applied for B Corp certification and joined the 1% for the Planet initiative — serious signals that the ethical mission isn’t just marketing.

Their partner charity is Heal Rewilding, a UK organisation buying farmland and allowing ecosystems to recover naturally. Rewild’s first impact contributions are due December 2026, with a full impact report also planned for the same month.

Plans & Pricing

Rewild keeps things simple — no confusing bundles or hidden add-ons. Three data tiers, three contract lengths. Longer contracts get a small discount.

All plans include unlimited calls and texts, EU roaming (daily charge applies), hotspot tethering, Wi-Fi calling, and you keep your existing number. The 30-day rolling plans are genuinely flexible — useful if you’re not ready to commit long-term.

Pricing is competitive against the big networks, particularly given you’re not locked into a handset contract. No mid-contract price hikes is a big deal — most UK networks sneak in above-inflation rises annually, something Rewild explicitly rules out.

Network & Coverage

Running on both Vodafone and Three gives Rewild a coverage advantage over single-network MVNOs. Vodafone has strong rural coverage; Three is known for solid urban data speeds. Combined, 99% UK population coverage is a credible claim.

That said, as with any MVNO, in very congested areas or during peak times you may not get the same priority as direct Vodafone or Three customers — this is worth knowing if you’re in a dense urban area and rely heavily on data speeds. For most everyday use though, it won’t be noticeable.

Travel SIMs

A nice differentiator — Rewild offer dedicated Travel SIMs covering 200+ countries. If you travel regularly for work or holidays, having a separate travel SIM option rather than paying roaming charges is genuinely useful. We’d recommend checking their travel SIM pricing against competitors before committing, but the option existing is a plus.

What You Actually Get

The Nature Angle — Is It Legit?

This is the bit that makes Rewild genuinely different, so it’s worth looking at properly rather than just taking it at face value.

Rewild commits 25% of profits — not revenue, profits — to rewilding initiatives. They partner specifically with Heal Rewilding, a UK charity buying former farmland in England and allowing ecosystems to recover naturally. Their first site, Heal Somerset, is already active with wildlife monitoring underway.

The profit-vs-revenue distinction matters: as a startup, their profits will be modest initially. But the model scales — as Rewild grows, so does the contribution. The first nature contributions are due December 2026, with a published impact report at the same time. That commitment to transparency is encouraging.

They’ve also joined 1% for the Planet and applied for B Corp certification — both of which involve independent verification. B Corp in particular has rigorous standards. This isn’t greenwashing; the infrastructure for accountability is being built properly.

Customer Service

Rewild make a point of offering real human support — no automated bots, no endless call queues. For a mobile network, that’s actually a differentiator. Anyone who’s tried to resolve a billing issue with a major network through an AI chatbot will appreciate this.

They’re currently rated Excellent on Trustpilot, which for a network that’s only been live since January 2026 is a positive early signal. Sample size is still small given how new they are, so we’d keep an eye on that rating as they scale — but the early signs are good.
